The Northwest Community Land Trust Coalition (NWCLTC) began as an informal peer-to-peer networking group in the fall of 1999 and has, as a group of between 25 and 60 CLT practitioners met twice every year since then.
The Coalition formally incorporated in August of 2005 and hired dedicated staff in April of 2008. Erika Malone served as the Executive Director from that time until January of 2011.
The NWCLTC supports and enhances the activities of the community land trusts (CLTs) based in the Pacific Northwest so that they can provide permanently affordable access to land for housing and other community needs that serve low- and moderate-income members of their communities.
