Sitka Excursions
S'us' Héeni Sháak Neighborhood Tour
Date: Friday, October 2, 2026
Time: Depart Harrigan Centennial Hall at 3:30 pm
Return at 4:45 pm
Cost: Free
Join SCLT staff and board for a tour of the S'us' Héeni Sháak Neighborhood on Halibut Point Road. We will visit and walk through the neighborhood of 13 homes and a recently completed six-unit apartment complex. This is Sitka Community Land Trust’s first multi-home project. We have thirteen homes completed with two more scheduled for completion in 2027 at which time the neighborhood will be fully built out. Free to attend! Advance registration is required.
Sitka Sound Wildlife Cruise
Date: Saturday, October 3, 2026
Time: Depart Crescent Harbor at 10:00 am (adjacent to Harrigan Centennial Hall)
Return at 12:00 pm
Cost: $30 per person. Limited availability (90 max).
Set sail aboard an Allen Marine Catamaran through the wildlife-rich waters of Sitka Sound. Renowned for its incredible biodiversity, the waters surrounding Sitka offer ample opportunities for wildlife sightings such as otters, whales, sea lions, and sea birds. Enjoy onboard amenities including a heated cabin, wraparound windows, outdoor viewing deck, and indoor head. Snacks and beverages will be provided.
